27.08.06 Pink Lady
Following the success of the 'Hot Mikado' I decided to audition for a role in the popular musical 'Grease' and ended up getting the lead role of Sandy! I'm very excited about this as it's the first lead role I've had in a musical since I was 12 (aww... bless!). It's very challenging singing-wise (following in Olivia Newton-John's footsteps is NOT easy) and I'm looking forward to the 50's costumes and going from 'nice' Sandy to 'cool' Sandy. Anyone who wishes to see me in this please refer to the Gig Guide for more details.
13.07.06 Sabbatical
Well I just played my last gig of the current season at The Hope and Anchor in Islington. Thanks to all who turned out for 'The Scenic Route' shows. Your support, as ever, keeps getting my act re-booked! I'm going to take a singing and songwriting sabbatical for the next six months. 2007 gig dates will be posted on the website and emailed out via the Georgiana Newsletter.
08.06.06 Exams
I'm currently studying to take my grades on the guitar. My first exam is this November. Wish me luck!

I won't be offended if I don't see you there - afterall, it is VERY different from what you usually see me doing. :o)
8.5.06 Saturday Night Gigs
Many thanks to those who turned out for my (not very well advertised - sorry!) gigs on the 29th April and 6th of May. Having work done on my house and thus the house is a building site and my life not very well organised!
24.02.06 Another great gig
Another great gig at The Fiddler's Elbow on Friday the 24th of February. A big THANK YOU to all who showed up to support me. Especially to Manny who travelled back to Surrey and Jake who came up from Oxford. Hurrah to Bruce who filmed my set for me - it was good footage, cheers mate! The next gig will be held at The Miller on April Fool's Day, check gig guide for details.

01.07.05 - Georgiana auditions for TV show 'X Factor'
She says, "I thought I'd have a crack, queued for two hours and was dissapointed to only sing in front of an Endemol exec (TV producer, no Simon Cowell!). But sadly, the judge wasn't moved by my performance. It wasn't meant to be! But a fun experience and I got filmed for the opening credits."
14.06.05 - Georgiana prepares to launch own indie label
Georgiana is in the process of starting up indie label Wicked They Group Records. The function of this private label will be to release a full length album into retail outlets across the country. Georgiana 'Big Note' gig
IMPORTANT NOTICE : Unfortunately this Sundays Gig (27th February 2005) has had to be cancelled due to illness - the next gig is still set to go ahead as planned.
There has been a slight change to the details for the next gig. Check out the gig guide for more info. Photos of the last gig will be added to the site soon so keep checking back.
Valentines Gig @ Bullet
This Sunday's gig will be held at a nice little cocktail and tapas bar called 'Bullet' (formerly The Verge). It's been recently refurbished so expect candles dotted all over the walls, leather sofas and a quite dark, but mellow atmosphere. The venue plays host to a weekly Open Mic session as well as a 40 minute 'showcase' for up and coming singer/songwriters. This Sunday the Showcase will feature myself!
The Georgiana Valentine's Gig this Sunday will be starting at roughly 9pm but you are advised to get there for 8pm for good seating purposes. First, there will be an hour of 'Open Mic' followed by a 40 minute set by me! The Bullet bar makes Happy Hour offers at different times throughout the evening, so you might suddenly hear an announcement for cheap bottles of wine! For directions on how to get there, please see calender section below.

Upcoming Gig @ The Comedy
This next gig takes place in the so called 'Red Room' at The Comedy. It's been described by B.I.T.E website as a "Very decent pub with great friendly service and a good live music venue". It's quite sizeable and has been recently refurbished.
Again I have to get in at least 15 people to see me in order to get rebooked - and paid! The promoters of this coming gig are the same as those who run the Hope and Anchor acoustic gigs so I'm expecting the soundman to be better and the whole evening to be more enjoyable. I hope to see you all there!

The Georgiana band

Caught!
Georgiana was caught giving an impromptu performance outside a big name supermarket last week. Passers-by were treated to ‘Ordinary’, ‘Losing Myself’ and new song ‘Best Foot Forward’ as the cheeky songstress borrowed busker Nick’s guitar for a few licks. What will she get up to next?
Success
'Don't Wanna B Ordinary' has been forwarded on to a high level executive at a major record label by Taxi! The listing requested material for a network TV star to launch her singing career. Keep your fingers crossed that the song gets chosen...
Family Tree
Georgiana is a distant relative of songwriting legend Gerry Goffin, of Goffin and King, who co-wrote hits such as 'Natural Woman', 'Savin' All My Love' and 'Will You Still Love Me (Tomorrow)' et all with then wife Carole King. Georgiana is related via her mother, fellow folk singer/guitarist June Goffin.
